You don’t have to do this on your own anymore
I know just what it can be like.
✔ You’re tired all the time; bone-tired.
✔ You’re reaching for another slice of cake, or a coffee, just to get through the day. The sugar and caffeine addiction is real!
✔ You feel like you’re being ruled by your hormones. One moment you feel like superwoman and the next you’re feeling suicidal. Who am I???
✔ You’re stiff & achy all over, for no reason. Joint pain is creeping in and your back is hurting.
✔ You’re desperate to get some good-quality sleep but you feel wired but tired most nights.
✔ You’re wondering where your brain has gone and you’re really missing your old self. What is going on and who is this crazy woman?!
✔ And then you receive a diagnosis of ADHD and all of a sudden so many pieces of the puzzle fall into place. Perhaps you feel relief. Maybe sadness. Even anger. And now there’s so much to unpick, learn and figure out…
I know what it’s like, because I was there once as well.
As we enter our 40s, our hormones can change dramatically - and it can wreak havoc with our lives, especially if we also have ADHD…
We’ve often been so busy building our careers and looking after our family we forget to look after the most important person - ourselves. But as we hit the perimenopause, the things we do and don’t do really matter, especially when you’re neurodivergent. Our sensitive nervous system needs us to be in a good place so that our families can be in a good place too.
Not enough hours in the day…
Perhaps we stop eating healthily and get by on adrenaline and coffee. We forget to exercise. Maybe we’ve discovered that we have the ability to hyperfocus. But in midlife, any periods of hyperfocus must be counterbalanced by rest & recovery, otherwise we risk overwhelm, exhaustion and burnout. All of a sudden, self-care is no longer a nice-to-have but a must-have. And if you’re neurodivergent, you often need more self-care than your neurotypical person.
Struggling to manage…
Years of masking may have led to perfectionism and anxiety. Our confidence in ourselves and our abilities are affected and we might start to question our lives and choices. We might have limiting beliefs and trauma in our past (sometimes without even knowing it), and they often show up big time in midlife as our ADHD symptoms get more pronounced.
Wondering how to make a change…
Perimenopause + ADHD can create a perfect storm of emotional dysregulation, sleep struggles and memory issues. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way…

As I began my own journey (because it’s definitely a journey, not a destination), I started coaching others on the same path.
