It’s not you; it’s the season you’re in!

Have you ever noticed how your energy, motivation, and patience seem to come and go in waves?

Just like our menstrual cycle moves in monthly cycles of spring, summer, autumn and winter, so do our lives and life stages.

Some weeks you’re on it: meals prepped, workouts done, washing folded. Other weeks… everything feels heavier.

Here’s the thing: you haven’t lost your willpower or your spark – you’re just in a different season.

As women (and especially as mums), we move through so many overlapping seasons: school routines, sleepless nights, work stress, hormonal changes, grief, growth, and everything in-between. Each one demands something different from us.

You may have noticed that my blogs haven’t been as frequent over the past couple of years. As I went through some major life challenges (losing both my parents as well as going through a divorce), I headed into ‘winter’ and deprioritised anything that wasn’t important & urgent.

Yet we often expect ourselves to stay the same: same energy, same strength, same discipline, as if we’re not constantly adapting to life’s weather.

🌤️ What if instead of pushing harder, you listened to the season you’re in?

Maybe right now you’re in a rest and recovery season. Your body is asking for gentler movement, slower mornings, or more breathing space.

Or maybe you’re in a growth season, ready to challenge yourself again, build strength, or carve out time that’s just for you.

Both are valid. Both are necessary.

The key is not judging yourself for the season you’re in.

🌸 My reminder for you this month

You don’t need to be at your fittest, most organised or most energetic self to show up.

Just meet yourself where you are.

Move when you can. Rest when you need to. Nourish your body, mind and soul.

And trust that each season prepares you for the next.

💪 Come move with me

If you’re craving connection, strength, or simply an hour to breathe in fresh air, my outdoor strength class on Monday mornings in Chiswick are the perfect place to start.

You don’t need to be “ready” – just come as you are. Many mums tell me they love starting the week with this class – maybe this is just what you need right now?

Coaching is helpful when life overwhelms us and we need help to untangle all the thoughts in our head. Even when life is challenging, having regular coaching sessions where we can focus on the next right step can be life-changing.

I’ve had various coaches over the past 15 years: from life and career coaches to ADHD coaches.

As a certified & accredited life, health and ADHD coach, I offer you a safe space to explore your habits, goals and strengths.

🌤️ Did you know that I also offer health talks and ADHD sessions at local organisations?

If you work at a company that values employee health, resilience and wellbeing, why not put me forward for a lunch & learn or coaching workshop.
